WWF Fundraising
Ive been harping on about this all over Facebook and Twitter but I realised I hadn't even put it on my blog yet?! I'm out of practice!
For anyone who doesn't know, I've opened up a temporary second ETSY store to sell artworks kindly donated by artist friends, in which all the profits will go to WWF.
It all started because my BOYFRIEND is running TWO half marathons on behalf of the WWF and I wanted to do my bit to help with the fundraising, as there ain't no chance in hell I'm running unless I'm being chased!
This is my contribution, a Panda and her Baby black ink lino print. Had that lino cutting set sitting in my drawer for months and finally got a reason to use it! It was super fun...apart from the two pretty slices I got on the middle finger of my left hand :'(

Problem fixed!
SOOOOOO! What's happening?! It's been a while since a proper post. Ive been having some blogger issues which meant I couldn't upload anymore images. Or at least taht's what I thought it meant when I deleted a bunch of older posts all the way back from 2008. So now my blog only features work from May 2011. I know all that old stuff isn't as good as newer stuff (or at least it shouldnt be :S) but it was sad to see it go. I think it's nice to see the progress.
After the deletion I realised I was just trying to upload images that were too large and that was what was taking up too much space! D'oh! Im an idiot. Ah well, onto brighter and better things, hopefully!

Fangrid!
A friend of mine, Max, has organised a group of us arty types to take the original characters created and illustrated by some school children and translate them into our own interpretation to be given back to the kids as a gift! Great idea!
Here you can see the original design by Siddika along with a character profile for her character Fangrid. And next to this is my interpretation of it! What a great character she has invented! I wish I had that kind of imagination!

Voodoo Life Drawing
Last night I went to a very different and special Life Drawing session in Angel, London. It was themed as Voodoo/Hoodoo, to mark the death of an old Voodoo Queen called Marie Laveau, popular in New Orleans many many year ago.
The class was really cool, with a small stage set up with bones, skulls, voodoo dolls, etc and the model was dressed up at Marie and acted as though we were contacting her from beyond the grave!
Then after Marie, we had another model who was dressed a Haiti Hoodoo Princess. Both awesome models and great costumes!
This is why I love living in London!
Hopefully Ill find time to take one of these into PS and make proper characters from them!

Ted-Ed Chemical Reactions
My favourite thing about working on shorter projects with fast turnaround is that I get to share the results with you all so much sooner!
I have been working with an animation company down in Kent called COGNITIVE MEDIA, helping design characters and props for the series of Ted-Ed animated lectures they are producing. And the first one I collaborated with them on is now online and ready to view!
Big pat on the back to all the guys there who worked on it too, as they really brought my designs to life ad produced a fun (and educational!) video!
